3 things you didn't know about Saturn’s Children
Probably. 3 things you PROBABLY didn't know

Have you had a chance to play our newest sci-fi launch, Saturn’s Children? In this world, based on the 2008 novel by Charles Stross, you’ll traverse galaxies, engage in espionage and fight for liberty in a cutthroat class war.
Maybe you’re already an expert in the story of the book, or the stories of the game. But do you know these three things about our Saturn’s Children playable world?
1. Everybody is dead!!!
Well, all the humans, at least. Saturn’s Children is set in a post-human future. Even though our species is extinct, we are outlived by the big questions. What is free will? What gives us purpose? You may be part of the robotic underclass, forced into indentured servitude or outright slavery. You might find yourself an aristocratic android, or “aristo,” enjoying life as part of the upper crust. In any case, once the story kicks off, you will need to leave the planet in a hurry. But to escape, you are forced to take a sketchy (maybe even illegal!) job.
2. You can seduce a spaceship!
Well, you can at least try to seduce a spaceship
Remember that “forced to flee the planet” thing we mentioned? Yeah, well. When you board your intergalactic freighter, you will notice it's sentient. And it might be a little flirty. Maybe…more than a little??? One of the most inventive aspects of the source novel is its expansive definition of personhood, a characteristic we’ve carried into the game. Your fellow “artificial humans” will have quirky personalities, but buildings and vehicles might, too. If you wish to use that information for romantic conquests, or to betray anyone you encounter, or to establish strategic alliances and become fabulously wealthy, be our guest! The decisions are yours.
3. You can earn the Androids modifier!
As you design your character in Saturn's Children, you’ll notice they have copper filaments visible beneath their skin. Androids aren't confined to this galaxy of stories. Playing in Saturn's Children gives you the opportunity to earn the Androids modifier. With the Androids modifier, you can factor Asimov's laws of robotics into other Hidden Door worlds. What will happen if your Oz University rival, Glinda, is revealed to be an android? How might robotic components help your quest for revenge in The Crow? Play Saturn’s Children to get a taste of android life and unlock the modifier. Then, bring those narrative modifications to the other literary universes you love. Your mission: build a new world by telling and re-telling this scifi story, in whichever way you want. Go from courtesan to courier to undercover. Reinvent yourself as a secret agent. Play Saturn’s Children now and share your favorite moments with our community!
P.S. How do you feel about entomology?
If you find a bug and report it in Discord, or email support@hiddendoor.co, we'll hook you up with the exclusive Superpowers modifier. It allows your characters in any world to become superheroes. Did we mention you can combine modifiers? If you want to be a superpowered android...you'd better start playing!
