🚨 WEEWOO WEEWOO🚨

(NEW FEATURE ALERT!)

Great news! You can now share moments from your stories using our social share feature!

As you’re spinning your tale of romantic Regency intrigue, or plotting revenge against a treacherous foe, you can now select specific moments from your story to share on your feed.

Here's how!

You can create social share moments on desktop and mobile! On the right-hand side of your screen, just above your deck of cards, you'll find the "create a moment" button. Select the elements of your story that deserve a spotlight. Then, in the editor, decorate your snapshot with stickers, themed backgrounds and frames, and add more text in different colors (we want all your witty commentary).

When you share your moments, they’ll enter the great big social feed on our website. You can also find special feeds on the landing page of each world, showcasing moments from those game universes.

Our goal is to replace doomscrolling with an abundant stream of creativity, imagination and joy. We’ll need your help to make the joyscrolling possible! This is a brand-new feature, one part of turning Hidden Door (the game!) into HIDDEN DOOR (the robust entertainment landscape).

We’d like to ask a favor: while you’re creating these social moments to share with your friends…could you also share them with us? By uploading them to our Discord, or tagging @PlayHiddenDoor on social media?

We’d LOVE to see:

  • Your self-insert characters! Our co-founder Hilary is enrolled at Oz University mostly to geek out about archaic Ozian steam technology, which is 1000% cheaper than actually going back to school.
  • Your love triangles (or pentagrams) (or hexagons)! Megan, our art director, has been crafting the study-buddies-to-magical-throuple arc that's the dream of every College AU author.
  • Your in-world memes! Hattie captured a moment from the Big Fan universe that showcases her inability to not quote videos that went viral 10+ years ago. (I’m Hattie, BTW! I’m the newest member of the Hidden Door team, it’s great to meet you!)
  • Your ☆✭ ~ aesthetic ~ ✭☆ posts! Play around with background images, frames, and different text colors to hit the EXACT right note for your feed, like our engineering manager Brianna!
  • ...and anything else you might come up with!

If you’re interested in being tagged on other social media ( Instagram, Threads, BlueSky, TikTok, LinkedIn), please share your handle, too! Come meet us in Discord.

You can see the full feed of EVERYONE’S moments on our new explore page here. And as always, please! Break our game. If you find + report a bug, by flagging it in Discord or by emailing support@hiddendoor.co, we'll hook you up with the exclusive Superpowers modifier. Oooh, ahh!
